Wow! God's Not Dead!

I woke up this morning and the first thing on my mind was "My God's not dead, He's surely alive, Living on the inside...."

After yesterday's talks and hearing Lee Vendon's personal story about being drawn back to God with the power of intercessory prayer, all I can say is WOW! Our God isn't Dead - He's surely alive!

Were you moved by yesterday and Friday night? Amazing how God is already working. If you haven't come yet, tonight at 7pm it all begins again tonight. You don't want to miss any more for sure. I was correct - Lee has drawn a line in the sand and we can never go back to just playing church.

As your pastor, I'm urging you to do whatever it takes to say no to the devil and yes to God and be there each evening this week as Lee continues to present world-changing ideas and a life-changing message.

Praise the Lord!

correction: Lee Vendon Sabbath Schedule

This is just a quick correction on the Lee Vendon Sabbath Schedule sent earlier:
He has his first presentation at the 9am service and that will run over into Sabbath School - no adult Sabbath school.
Lee will have a second, different presentation at the 11am worship service.
Then he has his third presentation will begin about 2pm after the lunch, potluck style.

Don't miss! Begins Friday night at 7pm!

From Pastor Roger - A Line in the Sand

Remember fighting with your brother or sister in the car and your dad reaching over to grab ahold of someone or something and with that threatening phrase, "Don't make me pull this car over!"

In the end, you would draw a line between your seat belts and say to your sibling, "Don't cross over to my side of the car." It happened in bedrooms, in the car, and in the backyard sandbox. An imaginary line was crossed that said, "Don't cross this or I'll tell!"

Well, today, I'm drawing a line in the sand of our spiritual lives. This weekend begins an intensive week of spiritual revival from Pastor Lee Vendon at our church. It's a time that will be all about Jesus - only Jesus, Jesus first and foremost.

From this point forward, we will no longer be "playing church" in our sandboxed lives. Nope. Instead, this is a time to get it real and get it right with Jesus. This is a time to say, I've been a cultural Adventist, but this week (August 3-11), is a time to give up the cultural aspect and become a solid follower of Jesus.

As your pastor, I'm asking you to come this Friday night at 7pm. As your pastor, I'm the one drawing the line in the sand and saying, "it's no longer good enough to just come to church and ignore it the rest of the week. It's no longer good enough to play church." This changes everything as one commercial says it.

Please plan to come on Friday for the 7pm meeting, Sabbath at 9, 11am. visit www.vancouveradventist.com for more information. You don't want to miss!
